Aromatherapy Clinical Effectiveness Evidence Map of Citrus essential oils
Adriana Nunes Wolffenbüttel is a Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, researcher and clinical aromatherapist. She started her studies at the faculty of chemistry. She worked for many years in the field of analytical toxicology, in a laboratory, until the moment she discovered essential oils and decided to change her field of specialty to aromatherapy.
She then returned to university, and completed a postgraduate degree called “Specialization in essential oils” She also authored a book in the Portuguese language "Chemical base of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy", now in its 3rd edition.
Adriana then completed her doctorate and post-doctorate in Brazil and in Madrid/Spain with pre-clinical and clinical studies of emotional/behavioral and biochemical changes after inhaling Citrus essential oils (Citrus x aurantium and Citrus sinensis).
Adriana is currently a researcher at Chair Brazilian Academic Consortium for Integrative Health (CABSIn), where she coordinated the first Aromatherapy Clinical Effectiveness Evidence Map.
She is a certified aromatherapist (CertAroma) by the Brazilian Association of Aromatherapy and Aromathology (ABRAROMA).
