Oxidation of Citrus oils: risks, detection and preservation

Benoit ROGER Ph.D. has a Masters degree in biology and a Ph.D. in chemistry (phytochemistry and analytical chemistry) from the University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis.
He completed his Ph.D. with a company in the south of France specialised in aromatic plant material and he has remained in the field since then.
In 2013, he moved to Canada for a postdoc (UQAC) on the research of active extracts and molecules in the plants from the boreal forest. At the same time, he started a small commercial distillery of boreal aromatic plants (Groupe Borea Ressources), then he joined Laboratoire Phytochemia, specialising in essential oils and plant extracts analysis and started Alchemia Solutions which is a sister company of Laboratoire Phytochemia.
At Alchemia Solutions, Benoit develops innovative stainless-steel stills and extractors, from lab scale to industrial scale. He also offers courses and workshops (plant chemistry, distillation, extraction, quality control, etc…), consulting services and he often travels for lectures in congress, symposium, and workshops.
Lastly, since 2020 he has been teaching analytical and instrumental chemistry at the local university (UQAC).
