Meet Gus Le Breton, popularly known as the African Plant Hunter. He is a Zimbabwean-based African plant specialist with a deep knowledge of African trees and plants.
Gus is a Cambridge and Yale-educated ethnobotanist from Zimbabwe. For over 20 years, he has explored and shared his knowledge of the extraordinary healing properties of African plants. He has built a career developing and promoting African plant products for launch onto global markets.
Africa is a continent blessed with astonishing plant biodiversity. Most medicines developed in the last century have derived from nature and plants.
Gus is on a mission to identify what medicinal plants there are in Africa, how they have traditionally been used, and bring knowledge and awareness of African plants and biodiversity to the world.
Gus is a leading advocate for sustainable plant use and conservation in Africa.
